Why commercial drivers need CDL lawyers

There are three common common legal issues faced by commercial drivers, 1) Traffic violations, 2) DUI charges, and 3) License suspension. Speeding, reckless driving, accidental damage to unattended vehicle or property, and running red lights are just a few examples of traffic offenses that can result in fines, points on your driving record, and even license suspension. CDL lawyers can help commercial drivers navigate the legal system, build a solid defense, and minimize the impact of these violations on their CDL.

The second significant legal issue faced by commercial drivers is DUI charges. Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is a serious offense that can result in severe penalties, including license suspension, fines, and even imprisonment. CDL lawyers specialize in DUI cases and can help commercial drivers understand their rights, build a strong defense, and work towards a favorable outcome.

Lastly, License suspensions are also a common concern for truckers because many things can trigger a suspension. Whether it’s due to accumulated points on your driving record, a DUI charge, or another violation, a license suspension can have a devastating impact on your career.
